Amber Riffo
I'm a Midwesterner, born and raised. Actually, rumor has it that I was named after "amber waves of grain."
I've been exploring the Midwest my whole life. I was born in Indiana, grew up in Illinois, and now live in Iowa. So, it's no wonder that America's Heartland influences my work. I'm drawn to rich colors, homey spaces, and down-to-earth social interactions.​

My photography experience began in circa 2004 when I got my first camera (it was a Barbie 35mm flash camera, in case you were wondering). My videography experience began in 2015 when I took a digital media production course at Iowa State University.
Throughout college, I continued to take courses that allowed my creativity to flourish. Then, I entered the workforce as a well-rounded communications specialist.​ Now, I'm turning my attention to real life stories. That is, the stories that unfold through real lives.

I want to capture the unsung perspectives on wedding days, the mundane moments with children at home, and everything in between.

The Amber Vision Experience
I appreciate you being here! If you choose to work with me, I'll be just as eager to get to know you. Your passions, goals, and previous experiences shape who you are, and I want to hear all about it so that I can accurately and fully represent you in my work.
Pre-booking
During this time, my goal is answer as many of your questions as I can. Your investment in videography or photography is a big deal, and I don't want you to feel rushed or pressured into choosing an option.
After you submit an inquiry form, I'll follow up with you in 24-48 hours to schedule a consultation call (aka our first date). This call is how we'll learn more about each other and explore the services I can provide to you.
After our call, I will reserve your desired booking date for seven days while you consider your options. If you do not submit the retainer fee and signed contract after seven days, I will open up your desired date to others.
Once you're booked
First off, yay! I'm excited to work with you!
During this part of the process, I'll gather details and put together a plan for your booking date.
You can just sit back and relax.
On the day
It's time to implement our plan!

If you booked a wedding videography package, you'll see me working alongside your photographer for most of the day. I'll connect with them beforehand to ensure we work in sync and both get the shots we need. I'll mic you up throughout the day to record key moments, but otherwise, I'll be supporting you from behind my camera.

If you booked a photography package, I'll either be playing your favorite tunes on a speaker while offering you posing prompts, or I'll be a fly on the wall documenting your family time.
Delivery
You will receive a snail mail package containing a hard copy of your final files on a flash drive. Delivering your products this way ensures that you own full printing rights to your photos forever and may share your videos as you wish.
